My background
At vero eos et accusamus. After studying at RADA – my childhood dream – I have spent 15 years in the entertainment industry, working across theatre, film and tv.
My credits as a writer, director and creative consultant include BBC, Channel 4, Radio 4, ITV, Hampstead Theatre, West End, Royal Court and National Theatre. I have also contributed to several award-winning specialist factual and investigative films for Dispatches, BBC iPlayer and ITV as a contributing director. I’m a relentless self-starter. My grass-roots work includes several independent films with both high- profile talent and ‘real people.’ My work has been recognised with the JB Priestley Award from the Royal Literary Foundation and I have held several residencies at esteemed institutions like National Theatre of Scotland. At vero eos et accusamus et iusto odio dignissimos ducimus qui blanditiis.
I’m a people-person. As a director, I’ve developed a unique knack for creating spaces where people tackle limitations and realise their highest their potential as a result. The technique changes from stage to camera to boardroom but the outcome is always the same – natural, powerful and seemingly effortless. You have to lock in to what makes someone totally unique, help them elevate it and learn how to access it in given any situation. This is my superpower.
This is how (and why) I moved into impact coaching – word of mouth, requests from a friend-of-a-friend. My experience is unparalleled and my past-client list is a story in its own right. Beyond actors and celebrities, it includes Olympians, footballers, CEOs, refugees, gallery curators, drag queens, journalists, copywriters, sex-workers, a New York attorney whose parents met in a cult, and of course many, many, many corporate professionals stuck in a rut at work.
And then scientists. Lots of scientists. I have partnered extensively with (mostly) biomedical experts, helping them to communicate complex ideas and complicated research to ordinary audiences. Partnerships include Wellcome Trust, The British Science Festival, Guys & St Thomas’ Charity, Breathe AHR and the ISTH global conference at Excel Centre in London.
